Find print and electronic books through the Library Catalogue.  Search by keyword using search terms such as the author’s name, themes, or critical approaches.

Locate journal articles by using one of the Library’s databases.  Good tools for English research include:

• JSTOR *this is an archive, so you will not find recent articles
• Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Criticism

Textual analysis & Background information

• Oxford English Dictionary Online - great tool for finding out the meaning of words over time
• Oxford Reference Online - encyclopedias & dictionaries on English Literature topics
